2-DAY TOUR TO THE BATTLEFIELDS

Visit the sites of some of the greatest battles of the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879. Isandlwana, scene of Britain’s greatest defeat against the Zulu army and Rouke’s Drift where the highest number of Victoria Crosses were awarded for bravery. A specialist battlefield guide, giving great insight into the battles, will take us through the battles. Stay overnight in the area and then travel to Ladysmith to visit the Siege Museum and the Spionkop Battle Site. This battle was fought between the British and Boer and both sides believing they had lost the fight. (All meals included)

 

 

 

 

2-DAY TOUR TO SANI PASS

Travel to Underberg, where we transfer onto a 4×4 vehicle for a trip up the spectacular Sani Pass, rising 2874 metres above sea level taking in the magnificent views. We lunch at the top of Sani in the “Highest Pub in Africa”. We then drive through this harsh environment taken in a village inhabited by the mountain people wrapped in their Lesotho blankets. We overnight at a local lodge, then drive through a typical Lesotho town before returning. (All meals included)
